Most parents assume that there is a small window of opporunity for teaching children sign, around 6-12 months. </p><p>While this is a great time to start, so little ones can communicate it is not the only time.Signing with kids 12 months to 3 years is also great especially for children who are not yet speaking much. </p><p>If you have a toddler who has tantrums or can not tell you their needs then signs can help facilitate communication between you both. </p><p>Also kids at this age learn the signs much faster so can learn more signing vocabulary in a much shorter span of time.</p><p>Sign language has been proven to improve babies and toddlers vocabulary and cognitive skills.
